How to fix user profile cannot be loaded in Windows 7

If this error occurs when trying to login an Active Directory domain user on a Windows 7 operating system, please take a look over this quick fix.

Log onto the machine as a local Administrator and check to see if any profiles are created. In some cases you will find a file, located in the default user profile: C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\SQM\iesqmdata_setup0.aqm
Delete this file and log out. Now you should be able to log in with the domain user without getting any errors.

Note: The Temporary Internet Files is a hidden folder, so by default it is not visible in Windows Explorer.

I’ve seen people reinstall the operating system because of this issue. I hope this fix works for you, please let me know in a comment if it did!
